The FPL Intelligence Report: GW36
The Bench Boost chip is activated and we look at the data on the hottest names to consider for GW37-38 including Thiago v Pedro, Liverpool MIDs and much more!
War is a terrible thing.
Best laid plans are great until they make first contact with the enemy. It’s counsel I’ve provided often in previous editions of this newsletter, and it is counsel I will provide again today.
Our battle plan for GW35 was to detonate a strategic weapon of mass destruction in the form of a wild card that would give us a massive green arrow.
Green arrow achieved. But it wasn’t massive. It was less than 1%. Not what we needed. Best laid plans met contact with the enemy.
So we adjust. We expected a quick and decisive win, but instead we got bogged down in a battle of attrition. Time to cowboy up because this will not be easy from here on out.
We need to call in the cavalry. Enter the Bench Boost. We prepared for this during the wild card, but do I now love having to rely on 3x Crystal Palace defensive assets to carry the day?
No I do not. Am I gonna grind my teeth, swallow those nails and face enemy fire?
HELL YES I AM!
Let me show you how.
The BB36 Bus Team
Not much I can do given I have just the 1FT (though funds aren’t a problem), most likely it will be a boring transfer I make. Something like Strujik out for Van Hecke, Kadioglu, Porro or Keane. I won’t spend any time analyzing the data as it’s very small margins.
Brighton have 48% CS odds
Spurs 34%
Everton 30%
It’ll be a late call, and I don’t expect it’ll be a consequential one.
Captaincy will remain on Haaland who is comfortably ahead of Cherki for the responsibility. Bruno will retain the vice. Haaland is the man, check out how far ahead he is of the pack. He is n of 1.
That’s it. These are the warriors. Verbruggen, DCL, Anderson and “new defender” will be the cavalry on Bench Boost.
Next, we’ll look at some players of interest as we wind down this season and this War. We’ll call them, “The Closers”. The Closers are the players that could deliver the goods in GW37 and 38. As always, brace yourselves because we’re bringing the data to life!
